Regularly apply a quality broad spectrum SPF 15 or higher
sunscreen
or
sunblock;
a
base tan
is NOT a replacement for sunscreen and you will burn without it.
2.
Apply a high SPF face sunscreen or sunblock and protect your lips with an
SPF lip balm.
3.
Use tanning
eye protection
or quality sunglasses that block both UVA and UVB light.
4.
Wear a hat to protect your face, neck, ears, eyes, and head from direct sunlight.

Stay out of the
mid-day sun!

6.
Stay in the shade, you'll still tan. As much as 85% of UVA and UVB rays
can be reflected off the sand and surf.

7.
Don't be fooled by cloud cover, UV rays can still penetrate – wear that
sunscreen.

8.
Wear a T-shirt or rash guard (Lycra garment worn under wet suits) when
snorkeling. This helps to prevent from getting burned when in the water.
9.
Drink lots and lots of bottled water, the sun can really dry you out.

At the end of the day wash off all sunscreen and sunblock then
moisturize using a quality
aftersun lotion
or a
tanning moisturizer.
