Using Sunscreen
How Much Is Enough?
The best sunscreen to use is a high SPF broad spectrum
sunscreen.
This protects against both UVA and UVB ultraviolet
light. Before applying, first carefully read the
label and follow the directions to ensure you're
applying enough.
|
Its been shown that people regularly don't apply
enough sun lotion. Which means they are not getting the
SPF
protection they think they are getting. Typically
to cover the body one-quarter of a four ounce
bottle of sunscreen is needed.
|
To maintain the stated SPF protection it's
important to reapply
sunscreen
every 2 to 3 hours, after swimming, or after it has
been rubbed or toweled off.
