Airbrush tanning is a quick and easy way to achieve a perfect looking tan in just minutes. There are a number of air brush products on the market, from the cheaper spray-tan-in-a-can products to more expensive professional airbrush tanning systems. Amateurs can even learn to become very proficient with the professional tanning air brush systems.

The professional airbrush tanning system consists of an air compressor, an airbrush, and an air hose. The compressor is used to generate the air pressure which is forced through the tanning air brush. As the compressed air is forced through the airbrush the sunless tanning solution is picked-up and sprayed out as a fine mist.

After the sunless tanning solution is evenly applied with the air brush, the skin will remain tacky as it slowly dries. While it's drying try to avoid touching anything, as this solution has been known to stain carpets and furniture. Within two to three hours the skin will darken as the DHA reacts with proteins in the skin, turning it a natural golden brown tan color.
