rich tan. Tanning lotions contain essential nutrients that
nourish the skin and accelerate the tanning process. They do
this by simulating the bodies production of melanin, the
pigment which gives us color. Some tanning lotions even contain
antioxidants which claim to curb the development of lines and wrinkles.
Tanning lotions can be applied up to 20 minutes before a tanning
visit or immediately following your visit. I personally like to
lather the lotion on 20 minutes before as I enjoy the tingling
sensation some of the lotions give you when exposed to the UV
light.
While tanning lotions seem expensive they may actually save you
time and money by giving you a better tan in fewer sessions.
However, purchasing tanning lotions from the salon can be very
expensive (huge mark-up). I recommend purchasing lotions on-line,
there are many reputable on-line sources for quality discount
tanning lotions.
